Life as a designer requires constant reinvention whilst maintaining your authenticity. It's even more difficult in this era were life is becoming increasingly faster every fleeting moment. Fast fashion, fast foods, instant success, instant relationships, mind boggling rapid technological improvements are the order of the day as we desperately search for instant gratification. Artists are forced to adjust in order to cater to a generation culturally influenced largely by media, social media and technology.Unbeknownst to many there is a creative science to this seemingly fickle world of fashion. It's one of the most accessible gateways to individual expression. As a designer (an artist), the brand Shawn Marshall sets out to explore the modernity of in the classic and assert it's relevance in my generation. Shawn Marshall is an advocate for Modern-Classic- the perfect synergy between timeless quality, design and modern style.About denim Dean Gomilsek-Cole, Turnbull & Asser’s Head of Design is quoted saying “It is the unstable nature of denim — the fact that it fades, shows signs of age and wear, tells the story of your interaction with it, and becomes a physical repository of your memories — that makes it so fascinating as a material,”  The same can be said about linen, cotton and wool. It's the beauty of the life in fabric 

The question we set out to answer is, how can Shawn Marshall make relevant and modern the classic styles our youth views as otherwise too formal. A timelessly cool brand that looks to the future using the renowned principles of traditional quality tailoring.
